Mike Jackson is an Emmy-nominated television host, visionary builder, and entrepreneur, best known as Co-Star and Executive Producer of HGTV’s series Married to Real Estate, where he and his wife, Egypt Sherrod, captivated audiences with their authentic blend of family life, renovation, and design expertise. The dynamic duo also earned national recognition as Season 3 champions of HGTV’s Rock the Block, and Mike most recently hosted HGTV’s Smart Home 2025, further cementing his influence as a trusted leader in the construction and design space.
As Founder, and Owner of Jackson Draper Renovations, Mike brings a lifetime of expertise and craftsmanship to the company, which has become known for merging traditional building techniques with modern innovation to deliver transformative renovations. His passion for the craft began as a child in Hempstead, Long Island, where he trained under the mentorship of his grandfather and uncle before further honing his skills in trade school, becoming a journeyman, specializing in sheet metal, HVAC, woodworking, and design. Today, Mike not only oversees his teams to build homes, but also invests in building communities and opportunities, often extending his platform to philanthropic projects that uplift families and create access for underserved groups.
Mike’s creativity also spans beyond construction. As a professional DJ, known as “DJ Fadelf,” he’s toured internationally, as the official dj for three time Grammy winners The Product G&B, known for the Platinum, Grammy Award-winning hit “Maria Maria.” with Carlos Santana. That same artistry informs his design approach bringing precision, originality, and vision to every project.
Alongside Egypt, Mike co-hosts The Marriage & Money Podcast with Egypt & Mike, where the couple shares honest insights on marriage, entrepreneurship, faith, and family. Proud parents of three daughters, Harper, Kendall, and Simone, Mike and Egypt embody the balance of family and legacy, weaving love and resilience into all they do.
Now based in Atlanta, Mike continues to expand the reach of Jackson Draper Renovations while growing his impact as a media personality, entrepreneur, and advocate for Black men and fathers.
